"The Pickle Man (Get your Gherkin On)” is a traditional art piece by Laura Lemur. Colored with alcohol markers, and lined with black ink, it depicts a sly-looking anthropomorphic pickle with arms, legs and shoes. He wears black sunglasses and holds a cup of iced tea.

One of my ArtsyFartsyThrift vlogs includes an episode featuring a good amount of homemade art. Made of glazed ceramic, a handmade (what I assumed to be) pickle holding a drink was glued into a tiny house. I naturally gravitated towards this piece as a homemade art and pickle lover. While I didn’t take it home with me, the thrift art project inspired me to make one of my own, specifically a hand-drawn character. I wanted him to have “Chester-the-Cheetos-cat” vibes and I think I pulled that off.
